Good Monday evening!
I'm in a bit of a contemplative, but blissful, mood this cool spring evening... Tyler made a comment yesterday that I just can't stop thinking about and quite truthfully, makes me excited...
He said: "I'm looking forward to the next chapter in our life..."
Not to undervalue (2 words? 1 word? hyphenated? ha) or underappreciate where we are now, but it feels like we have been stagnant and stuck for a while... And life without growth, challenge, adventure, a bump or two, RISK, well, it just seems everything becomes stagnant... and that's just no fun now is it? :o)
So the next chapter: what does it look like? I have no idea. But I am super excited to take the steps to get there. Learn from the mistakes that set us back. Celebrate accomplishments. (like my hubby getting his P.Eng! YAY!) Grow. Let love deepen. This, truly, I am so excited for.
But tonight as I look around me, I realize I am pretty content right now, too... snoring dog (like seriously sawing logs here), hubby doing some work emails, me blogging.... Moments like these; I hope they never stop, no matter where the next chapter takes us.
So good night, from the girl and boy who are on the brink. Kinda scary. But mostly exciting.

Andrea Wiseman = Genius!
Yaaayyyy!!! I don't even know how to start this post because I am so excited about it!! haha.. let me explain..
Last night, Tyler and I had a lifestyle photography session with the one and only, beautifully talented Andrea Wiseman! We haven't had any professional pics done since our wedding (which will be SIX years ago on June 4! gak!!) so we thought, why not!?
It was so much fun... it was like therapy.. a really good stress-releasing therapy session... I don't mean to tell on my hubby, but he was having a very stressful day at work; everything was going wrong and that doesn't put a person in the chipper-est of moods... but an hour of a super-fun photography therapy session, we were on cloud 9! Work and life stress was put aside and we were just in the moment... :o) Hard to explain, but Andrea has a gift for not only taking amazing photos, but bringing this amazing energy to a shoot that just makes everyone around her come to life... :o) So thanks, A!!
Her website is http://www.andreawiseman.com/
Be sure to check her out!! :o)
I will be sure to post some pics as soon as they are available! :o) Hope you are all having a super fan-tab-ulous Friday!
Cheerio,
J

Hi y'all!! :o)
Ugh, been a while, I know! Sorry! Been crazy busy, but it's been all crazy good, so no complaints! So, where did I leave off??
I think it was at our Florida trip... wow; being May now, that trip seems ages ago! We had SUCH a blast... went with Candace and Colin Kostenuk (Tyler's sister and hubby), Stacey and Karen Brake (Tyler's brother and wife) and Jon and Sara Lawrance from Ontario... (the connection is Jon is Karen's brother... I'm thinking I may need to draw out a family tree here.. haha) Anyway, we had tons of fun... it wasn't all that warm, but lots of sunshine and blue skies, so that was nice... we did so much... wow, Florida can be super overwhelming with signs and ads and bright flashing lights to do this, go here, buy that, etc, etc... but we mapped out a game plan and managed in a week to shop the outlets, take in Sea World, do Downtown Disney, enjoy a dinner theater show on horses (gorgeous!), do a day trip to the Kennedy Space Center, mini golf, a swamp tour on a fan boat, more shopping and Tyler and I even managed a day by ourselves which was so fun! Whew! So, that was Florida... I'm going to attempt to post some pics.. hope it works! ha! (It's been a while.)
Tyler and I also zipped down into the States for a road trip at the beginning of April to Idaho Falls... Tyler found a motorbike and trailer down there, so we made the trek of 10+ hours to our lovely friends south of the border... it was so much fun... the open road, nothing but time to talk, listen to tunes, nap (well, I did), talk some more, eat, read and then take another nap.. I love road trips so much and the scenery was beautiful... (Bonus: we go to see my brother Bryon and his girlfriend! We had meeting with them in Castlegar, BC on Sunday... really nice to be with them...)
I actually had my first ride on the motorbike tonight!! The wind was a little cool, but it was great to be on the bike, taking a cruise around! Can't wait for our bike trip this summer!! :o)
In day to day news: we have been addicted to nightly badminton with a few of the other young couples in Red Deer... That it is usually followed by a soak in the hot tub, so I'm not sure what's the addiction here: badminton or the hot tub! ha! Either way, we've been having a blast.. :o)
Ok, that's all for now... I think I will post pics in an additional post... that might work better for me.. ha.. have a good night!
Cheerio,
J
