{Jessica Kick Backs}: And Has The Best Weekend Of Summer

I should add: so far.  :)  This coming weekend is shaping up to be pretty wicked-awesome, as well.. 

I didn't get any pictures from Friday night.. we just went out for dinner with friends and hung out.. it was the perfect way to start out the weekend.. :)  

Saturday morning we were up bright and early to clean out our little trailer..  We sold it.. :(  Well, it's not all  sad, but we had some awesome memories in that little trailer this summer, so it's a little sad.. We drove up to Wetaskiwin to deliver the trailer to the guy who bought it; it was a lovely morning for a road trip and Bronze was even lucky enough to come along.. ;)

The reason for the selling of our trailer (well, part of it and I'm hoping it's not a bluff.. ha!) is that Tyler has hinted at the possibility of getting a boat next summer!  Which leads me into Saturday afternoon...

We got to hang out at the lake with our friends.. and their boat.. :)  It was amazing.  I don't know what made this afternoon so special.. This wasn't my first time on a boat.  Nor was it the first time hanging out with these friends.  But everything just clicked for an awesome day on the lake and I can't even describe why.. so I'll just shut up and let you look at the pictures.. :)

Sunday was equally awesome.. :)  I'm pretty certain Sunday's are my favourite day ever... 

After a wonderful Sunday morning meeting, we met my aunt & uncle, cousin and hubby and their kiddies for brunch at Rusty Pelican.. oh ya and my ma and pa were there too! :)  Excellent food and excellent company!

triplet birthday!  these girlies will turn 12 in september, but we celebrated early cuz they'll be headed home to DK soon!

ben's bday is 2 days before his sisters.. seriously.. isn't that crazy?  

 After gospel meeting, the triplets came over to our place for supper and we had a great evening.. I made them our favourite recipe, Korean Beef and then we went out for Menchies after..  When we dropped them back off at home, Aunty Bev was just making a huge batch of popcorn, so ended up staying another hour out there.. had some good laughs over popcorn & ginger ale..  It was the Tobler's last night in Canada, so we said our reluctant good-bye's that evening and now we are planning a trip over there.. to all my family reading this, are we down for a Pearman Family Reunion Denmark 2015??  I think so!!! :)

Well, that was the weekend in a nutshell.. It was the one of the absolute best of this summer and I'm sad that we do not have many of these left.. :(  Fall, hands down, is my favourite season and to be honest, I've never really been a "summer girl"... but this year... I don't want summer to end.. sigh.. I'm thinking a trip somewhere hot (but cheap) this winter might be necessary.. who's with us?? :)

{Jessica Wears}: Her Favourite Summer Outfit

Oh hey look!  It's an outfit post!  :)

Seriously, these are so fun.. I'm not sure why I don't do them more.. OH RIGHT - IT'S EXTREME-O AWKWARD TO TAKE PICS IN THE PARK OF YOURSELF.  IN HEELS.  AND A FANCY SKIRT.

I tried.  I really did.  I set off with my trusty camera in hand, only to be foiled by two mom's pushing their little tots in strollers (and then stopping to lounge in the grass in the exact spot I wanted to my pics!  I mean, who does that??  Lounges in a park on a gorgeous day with their kiddies? seriously.) and then again by a super creepy guy listening to his music through the tinny speakers of his laptop on a random park bench.  Gah.  I snapped a few pictures of the creek and then made my way to our front yard.  Better than nothing I guess.. 

Now I know you might be saying: "Jessica, why don't you just take outfit pictures in your living room, like old times?"  

Ha!  

Valid point, but my living room looks like.. like... worse than the awkward/dirty looks I would have gotten from The Two Moms & Creepy Guy on a Bench combined.  So there you have it.. :)

{Jessica Loves}: Her Family & Her Computer

YAY!!!

My computer is back and fixed and my wallet is only $40 lighter!  Whew.. thank goodness for that!

So can we just take a moment and let me really hug it out with my computer?  I'm sure I look something like the gal below.

 So, where should I start?  Gahhh.. it feels like so much has happened since I really sat down & did an honest-to-goodness blog post..  We've had lots of company.  We've made zero progress on the house.  In fact, we've taken steps backwards.  If that's even possible.  We've had an awesome summer, weather wise. I'm settling into my job.  My in-laws come next week.  We're going on a mini-motorbike trip with them. 

Oh yah, and we had a family reunion!!!  I'm not sure if I can even put into words how amazing this weekend was... We've always been a close family, but coming together, after all these years.. it's like no time passed at all.  Some of us are married now.  Some of us have kids.  We have careers and houses and pets.  But none of that mattered this weekend.  All that mattered was that we got to be together.  The next generation of cousins got to know each other better.  First cousins reunited over s'mores and long talks.  Aunts & uncles, brothers & sisters, first & second cousins.. it was the best being together.  THE BEST.

So I hope you enjoy the photos below.. I didn't take nearly as many pictures as I wanted and it seemed I never had my camera at those "just right" moments.. ah well.. like I said, in the end, it doesn't really matter.. what matters most is the memories impressed here forever. *taps heart*

How has your summer been??  I can't believe it's the middle of August tomorrow already.. what the hey, summer??  why you go so fast? :(  I know we still have lots of nice days ahead of us, so I won't get too sad... but still blows me away how fast the months (and years) slip by...
